Great little video article by FACT magazine featuring the legendary Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen showing how he produces he infamous house music remixes featuring his trademark cutup vocal style. A major star house music producer in the 90′s, MK has since gone on to spend time producing big selling pop stars like Pitbull. He’s currently reinvigorated his passion for house music and is working on tracks with Jamie Jones and his Hot Creations crew.
The three videos, 8 minutes each, show how MK developed his trademark music production style and trademark sound. A sound that inspired Todd Edwards and the whole Uk Garage/ w-Step sound! He demonstrates remixing a track by DJ Houle, cutting samples on the NI Maschine and talking about how he goes about fitting this with a melody line.
