After a little summer break to freshen the mind after a crazy few months since releasing the book ‘Complete Music Producer – Essential skills to become a success’. A little post on some events with Alan Raw @ BBC Introducing and PRS for Music. You’ll also be find a more regular stream of inspiring articles on LIM and events going forward. Woo hoo haha.
First though I just wanted to say a SuperBigBigBig THANK YOU to all the great emails I have received from buyers saying how much they loved the book, and how it’s helping them grow as producers. Thanks! Some snapshots you can read in the free 101 guide here.
Kicking off I’m visiting the esteemed BBC studios in Leeds for an interview on local hero Alan Raw’s BBC Introducing show on Thursday 13th September. Alan is infamous in the UK for championing new music and working to nurture talent. I’m in to chat about Complete Music Producer book and how it can help producers and even musicians reach their potential. Super excited to hear some of the great music Alan plays and find out more about BBC Introducing’s work with musicians.
You can catch it on 98.1 FM radio in the UK or online from 19.00 – 21.00 here.
The ‘BBC’s Introducing‘ concept is to help nuture new musical talent. They provide industry guidance, workshops and seek out fresh music to feature on their various daytime playlists and specialist shows. I would strongly recommend budding producers loading up their new music for the BBC Introducing panel to review here. If your lucky your music may soon be getting played across the UK on our premier radio station! Home to the mighty Pete Tong and Annie Mac to name a few. Also out in the last week is another super big prop for the quality of the book, as PRS for Music big it a big thumb up and endorse it with a review and article. Below is a snapshot of what they said on the book:
“Presented in a clear, logical format with summary sections included at the end of each chapter, Complete Music Producer is incredibly user-friendly and digestible. It is a must have for any music producer who wants to succeed in creating great music with an exciting brand that an audience can connect with.”
